FILM NOTES
A beloved adventure returns—bigger, darker and made to share with fellow Whovians.
With the support of BBC Studios, we’re encouraging Whovians in this territory to come out in force and join this unique, once only event.
Twenty years after David Tennant’s Doctor and Billie Piper’s Rose travelled to Sanctuary Base 6, The Impossible Planet and The Satan Pit have been specially re-edited into one movie-length presentation for Doctor Who Day. Perched beside a black hole, the remote outpost is home to the Ood—and a mystery buried far below its surface.
This only-in-cinemas screening pairs the adventure with exclusive bonus material, including previously unseen content and new interviews with special guests. Hear memories from the set and reflections on the making of the story, then experience its eerie corridors, cosmic spectacle and the terrifying Beast on the big screen.
